My Story

Change consultant and business coach Shirley Leonard has been helping individuals and organizations reach goals, achieve exceptional results and excel with change throughout her career.

In 2004, after 10 years as a leader and manager of organizational change and employee development at two of Alberta’s largest institutions—the University of Alberta and Capital Health Authority—Shirley followed her passion for supporting people and organizations in achieving their goals, and founded Pinnacle Organizational Performance Solutions.

I saw people—employees and managers, alike—struggling to understand, plan, manage and live with the changes in their work and personal lives. I knew I could provide more support to people by offering practical, personalized and focused change and transition support services and strategies.

Today, as a change management specialist, Shirley supports organizations of all sizes to manage the ever-increasing amount of change—by focusing on the people who are most affected by change.

Shirley’s unique relationship-based approach and her commitment to understanding the root causes and expected outcomes of change allow her clients to accomplish once unthinkable goals—employees training coworkers on new software, a non-profit childcare facility purchasing its own building, physicians implementing technology into their practices to provide more efficient and effective patient care, and teams achieving results through improved relationships and processes.

As an executive, career coach, and life and wellness coach, Shirley uses her change expertise and approachable nature to help people achieve happier and more fulfilling lives. Whether it’s in a one-on-one setting or at one of her retreats, Shirley’s people-centric process is focused on helping her clients reach their goals.

Pinnacle is based in Edmonton, Alberta, where Shirley offers a range of change management, consulting, coaching and speaking services.
